Highlights Healthcare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Onboarding and Orientation Specialist to join our corporate support team. Our team supports our ABA therapy Learning Centers and diagnostic clinicians throughout the southeast.

Position Summary:
The Onboarding & Orientation Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring new team members feel welcomed, prepared, and supported as they begin their journey with Highlights Healthcare. You'll play a direct role in shaping the experience of our team members and, in turn, the quality of care delivered to children and families. This position is ideal for someone passionate about employee experience, and building strong, supportive systems within a growing ABA organization.
Key Responsibilities:
New Hire Onboarding & Orientation
Lead all onboarding and orientation activities for new hires across clinical and administrative roles.
Ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements, credentials, and compliance documentation.
Create a warm, mission-aligned onboarding experience that reflects company values and culture.
Tenure & Turnover Management
Track employee tenure, monitor trends, and provide regular reporting on retention and turnover.
Identify patterns impacting staff retention and collaborate with leadership on improvement strategies.
Conduct exit interviews and compile actionable insights to reduce turnover.
RBT Training & Coursework Monitoring
Track and monitor Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) coursework, competency assessments, and certification timelines.
Provide reminders, guidance, and support to ensure timely completion of training requirements.
Maintain accurate records of training progress and compliance.
Liaison Between Recruiting and HR
Serve as the primary connector between Recruiting and HR to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding completion.
Communicate onboarding timelines, start dates, and readiness status to HR, scheduling, center leaders
Support recruiting efforts by providing feedback on onboarding trends and candidate experience.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding workflows, materials, and systems.
Ensure all onboarding processes comply with state, federal, payer, and BACB requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, healthcare, education, or ABA environments.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for people-centered work.
Experience working with RBT training, ABA compliance, or clinical onboarding strongly preferred.
Proficiency with ADP, Breezy, and Microsoft/Google tools.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform general office duties to support Highlights Healthcare daily operations.
Suggest improvements and changes to processes and policies to improve productivity or customer satisfaction.
Maintain industry knowledge to keep skills current and to develop professionally.
Comply with Highlights Healthcare's vision, mission, and values.
May be required to be available afterhours which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
