Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description
The role of Maintenance Technician involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on machines that produce bottling for industries such as Energy Drinks and Hemp products. The company operates in two locations: Mooresville and Atlanta. The technician ensures that all facility equipment and machinery are maintained and functioning correctly. They oversee the maintenance program, analyze equipment failures, and provide technical training to operators and team members.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
Calibrate equipment and instruments as needed.
Support production needs, including leading and assisting on production line changeovers.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as fillers, case packers, conveyor systems, and other production equipment.
Coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
Execute work orders on time as assigned by management.
Continuously improve the speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans.
Maintain housekeeping standards in all work areas and maintenance shop.
Install and troubleshoot production equipment.
Essential Skills
Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance repair.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to change 480v motors.
Proficiency with VFD, electrical, mechanical, and repair work.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Experience with 3 phase systems and conveyor maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Possession of personal tools is required.
Welding skills are a plus but not essential.
Ability to perform tasks with a focus on safety and quality.
Experience working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a 128,000 square-foot facility that is non-climate controlled. The environment adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), requiring beard guards, gloves, and hairnets when permissible. The facility produces 300 cans per minute, including glass bottles.

This is a Contract position based out of Mooresville, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
