Actalent Senior Industrial Hygiene Technician in Moorestown, New Jersey

Job Title: Senior Industrial Hygiene TechnicianJob Description

The Senior Industrial Hygiene Technician will be responsible for inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality. This role requires conducting detailed surveys and performing air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos, lead-based paint, right to know, and mold.

  • Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects.

  • Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment.

  • Write technical reports and interpret analytical data.

  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and respond to emergencies.

  • Work on assignments of varying complexity under the direction of a project manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Asbestos, Lead Paint, and IAQ certifications preferred.

  • Current EPA/AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector accreditation preferred.

  • Lead licenses preferred.

  • Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and construction.

  • High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma required.

  • Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screening and physical.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work environment, with time split between on-site fieldwork and office tasks in Moorestown. The role may require commuting to remote sites as needed, working limited weekends and second shifts, and meeting physical demands such as carrying up to 30 lbs. of equipment and using ladders.

This is a Permanent position based out of Moorestown, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
