Amazon Maintenance Technician - Night Shift in Moorebank, Australia
Description
Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Moorebank, Sydney.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime.
We are hiring multiple permanent night shift positions, working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts)
These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.

Key job responsibilities
Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime
Use specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
A day in the life
Our RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. As an RME Technician, you’ll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks general building maintenance.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.
Basic Qualifications
Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CMMS systems
Experience with sortation machines
Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
Experience with print and apply machines
