Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead our shipping and logistics operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the coordination of warehouse distribution, manage inventory control processes, and ensure timely, accurate shipping and receiving activities. Your leadership will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and foster a productive team environment. Duties

• Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all activities
• Manage inventory levels through effective inventory management practices and warehouse distribution strategies
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse staff and forklift operators to meet operational goals
• Oversee materials handling, heavy lifting, and the safe operation of forklifts in compliance with OSHA standards
• Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce errors, and increase productivity within warehouse management systems such as AS400
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline shipping schedules and delivery timelines
• Maintain strict inventory control by conducting regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation using warehouse management systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA guidelines and company policies for warehouse safety and materials handling

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with a focus on shipping & receiving
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, warehouse distribution, and materials handling techniques
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts; certification preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms like Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehousing environments
• Experience working within e-commerce fulfillment centers or 3PL operations is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and process improvement initiatives
