U-Haul Landscaping Technician in Montgomery, Illinois

The Landscaping Technician will assist in maintaining the grounds and overall appearance of U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers, and other U-Haul facilities within a designated geographic area. This role is essential in ensuring all properties are clean, safe, and visually appealing for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform landscaping maintenance across multiple U-Haul locations
Operate power and hand tools for routine and repetitive tasks
Maintain lawns, shrubs, and general outdoor areas surrounding facilities
Ensure all landscaping work meets company standards
Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and vehicles
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles
Compliance with all local, state, and federal driving regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Environment:This position involves moderate risks and requires adherence to safety precautions. Employees may work around moving machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals and may be required to wear protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, masks, or shields.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance
