Job Skills / Requirements
Summary: The Operations Manager oversees 24/7 security operations, ensuring service quality, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction. This role provides leadership, accountability, and support to security personnel across assigned locations.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of security management or related supervisory experience
3+ years verified security, law enforcement, corrections, or military experience
Preferred certifications: CPP, PSP, or similar
Ability to obtain and maintain a State Security License
Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
Ensure consistent, timely service delivery
Manage guard management software and reporting tools
Enforce company and regulatory safety policies
Work posts as needed and remain on-call
Leadership and Performance
Address performance issues and provide coaching
Communicate and uphold operating standards
Support improvement initiatives and change management
Provide clear leadership, direction, and accountability
Client and Team Communication
Serve as liaison between clients, Site Managers, Supervisors, and leadership
Maintain clear communication across daily operations
Prepare incident, performance, and client satisfaction reports
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain documentation for audits and inspections
Administrative and Supervisory Duties
Track employee licensing and certifications
Report new hires and terminations to the State of Alabama
Maintain personnel records
Manage staffing and 24/7 scheduling
Coordinate emergency and incident responses
Review and verify billing and invoice accuracy
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and administrative systems
Flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations
Positive attitude and initiative
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for at least 1 hour
Ability to walk ½ mile and climb 20 stairs without stopping
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Security Management, or related field (preferred)
Responsibilities and qualifications may adjust based on business and client needs.
