Job Description
Oracle Health Government Services is seeking a skilled HIM/ CDI Program Manager to join our mission-driven organization. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of medical coding professionals and CDI specialists delivering hands-on coding services and clinical documentation audits on behalf of federal clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HIM and CDI operations, a thorough understanding of federal healthcare regulations and audit requirements, and a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in a highly regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—both internal stakeholders and client partners—so familiarity with revenue cycle metrics, KPIs and terminology is essential.

Proven ability to lead and develop teams of coding and CDI professionals in a client-facing, performance-driven environment
Strong executive communication skills, with experience presenting program performance and complex findings to client leadership audiences
Experience designing and delivering program-level reporting, including the ability to interpret data and translate metrics into actionable insights
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and compliance obligations simultaneously within a structured federal environment
Proficiency with Oracle Health Millennium (Cerner Millennium) strongly preferred; experience with other major EHR platforms considered
Minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in HIM and/or CDI, with direct oversight of coding teams or CDI programs
Prior experience supporting federal healthcare clients or operating within a federally regulated healthcare environment strongly preferred
Oracle Health Millennium (Cerner Millennium) experience strongly preferred
RHIA or RHIT credential required; CCS, CPC, CDIP, or CCDS certification highly preferred
Experience managing external client relationships and program-level deliverables in a consulting or managed services capacity a plus
US Citizenship may be required depending on client requirements; ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal clearances preferred
Travel required to support onsite client engagement and program oversight activities
Relevant certifications such as CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) or RHIA/RHIT a plus
Required travel up to 20%.
US Citizenship is required with an ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day program operations for HIM and CDI service delivery, including management of medical coding staff and CDI specialists supporting federal clients
Serve as the primary point of engagement for client leadership teams, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment on program goals, priorities, and performance
Direct the delivery of manual medical coding activities across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary service lines in compliance with federal coding guidelines and regulations
Manage and coordinate clinical documentation audit activities, including audit scheduling, findings review, feedback loops, and remediation tracking
Develop, distribute, and present routine program reporting to client leadership and internal stakeholders, including productivity metrics, audit results, quality indicators, and trend analysis
Facilitate recurring program meetings with client and internal teams, ensuring clear agendas, documented outcomes, and follow-through on action items
Monitor end-user outputs for quality and productivity, providing structured feedback and implementing corrective action plans as warranted
Maintain current knowledge of federal coding mandates, documentation requirements, and regulatory changes, disseminating updates to the team in a timely manner
Identify program risks, escalate issues proactively, and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with internal leadership and client stakeholders
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency, and compliance posture of HIM and CDI service delivery

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $95,000 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
