Position Summary:
The Global MRO & Plant Facilities Sourcing Manager is a critical leadership role within Polaris’ Indirect Sourcing organization, accountable for shaping and executing the global sourcing strategy for MRO and plant‑related services. This role exists in response to the scale, complexity, and operational criticality of MRO spend across Polaris’ global manufacturing footprint.
As Polaris continues to mature Indirect Sourcing and support a growing, increasingly international business, this leader will provide focused ownership of one of the company’s largest and most operationally intensive indirect spend categories. The role is responsible for driving supplier consolidation, improving service levels, strengthening site support, and delivering measurable cost and performance outcomes across regions.
This leader partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, EHS, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, and site leadership to ensure MRO sourcing strategies align with plant needs, operational resilience, and long‑term business priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
APICS CPIM, ISM, or similar professional certification.
Experience working directly with manufacturing plants, facilities, or EHS organizations.
Track record of driving supplier consolidation, service‑level improvements, and operational cost reduction at scale.
Experience supporting global or international manufacturing footprints.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
7–10 years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with demonstrated ownership of large, complex categories.
Prior experience leading global or multi‑site sourcing initiatives, ideally within manufacturing or operations‑intensive environments.
Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and operate effectively across regions, cultures, and operating models.
Strong expertise in category management, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management, and contract execution.
Demonstrated leadership capability through direct people management or sustained leadership of cross‑functional teams.
Position Overview:
The Central Planner Supervisor owns and executes the global MRO and Plant Facilities category strategy, aligned to enterprise objectives, plant requirements, and regional operating models.
Leads high‑value, complex sourcing initiatives across global MRO categories, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, negotiations, and contract implementation. Drives supplier consolidation and standardization to reduce complexity, improve service consistency, and optimize total cost of ownership.
Will Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance management, governance cadence, and corrective action when required. Partner directly with plant leadership and Operations teams to align sourcing strategies with site‑level needs, uptime requirements, and service expectations.
Leads supplier capability development efforts focused on reliability, responsiveness, safety, and continuous improvement. Influence sourcing governance, approval processes, and contract standards in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Indirect Sourcing leadership.
This role Identifies and execute cost‑reduction, productivity, and supplier‑driven innovation initiatives across the global MRO footprint. Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to sourcing team members and/or site‑based resources aligned to MRO and plant facilities spend. Also will use data‑driven insights, benchmarking, and spend analytics to inform strategy, prioritize initiatives, and track value delivery
