Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficiency and cost‑effectiveness across production operations. This role is responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing optimal manufacturing methods while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards. The Manufacturing Engineer analyzes workflows, evaluates production methods, identifies improvement opportunities, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to enhance productivity and reduce unnecessary costs. This position plays a key role in supporting innovation, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of high‑quality products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cost‑reduction initiatives, material flow optimization, and work‑cell development

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes

  • Strong background in capital equipment studies and make‑versus‑buy analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Advanced English

  • Proficiency with PC applications and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  • Strong project management capabilities

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and updating process documentation, procedure instructions, and standards for operations, setup, and workstation layouts. The role conducts direct labor studies using established engineering practices and defines tooling and fixturing requirements for manufacturing processes. Coordination with tool designers to specify or procure new tooling and fixtures is essential.

Key responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating manufacturing methods, resolving issues that negatively affect safety, quality, productivity, or cost, and identifying areas of unnecessary spending. The role researches and implements cost‑reduction strategies, supports material flow improvements, and assists in the development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

The Manufacturing Engineer reviews preliminary product designs, recommends modifications to improve manufacturability and reduce costs, and prepares detailed capital equipment studies to support investment decisions.

Additional duties include evaluating make‑versus‑buy decisions, supporting departmental budgeting for materials, manpower, equipment, and outsourced services, and processing purchase requisitions. The role participates in special projects, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, completes company‑provided training, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Team members are expected to work safely at all times and perform tasks as needed based on training and operational requirements.
