We are actively recruiting Die Cutters with experience in folding carton manufacturing.
Description and Responsibilities
Experience: Operates the Platen Die-Cutting machine. Sets up the Machine, prepares the steel rule die on the Platen, operates the Machine, die-cuts creases/folds, and cuts the sheet to form the box shape, inspects and tests the product, and performs regular/light maintenance duties as per the maintenance schedule. Follows Machine and Workplace Safety, Food Safety, and ISO procedures.
Ability to:
- Set up Platen Die-Cutter - Read and Interpret Die Specification Sheets and Notes from Job Docket and Production Schedule
- Adjust Machine Components - Feeder, Delivery, Suction, Blow and Transport Systems, Front and Side Guides
- Quality - Monitor product quality and machine efficiency during run, remove and store dies safely, make ready next job while maintaining current job running.
- Verification - Verify quality of product, positioning, creasing/scoring depths
- Comparison - Compare the prototype sample to the sample on the job docket, compare die to specification order form
- Defects -Identify source of machine malfunction, adjust machine
- Reporting - Complete job inspection reports, alerts management when requirements are not met
- Maintenance - completes regular preventative maintenance, recommends equipment repairs, parts and supplies need.
