Continuous Improvement Manager positions offered by WIT Logistics, LLC (Monroe, New Jersey). The Continuous Improvement Manager leads enterprise-wide initiatives to drive operational excellence, cost optimization and scalable process innovation across Walker SCM’s national distribution network. This role leverages deep technical and strategic expertise in Lean Six-Sigma, DC automation and industrial engineering to design and implement high-impact solutions that improve throughput, service quality and inventory control. Spearhead the deployment of a standardized Lean Continuous Improvement framework across all U.S. distribution centers, embedding a culture of operational excellence. Lead and mentor a team of Industrial Engineers in designing end-to-end processes that integrate people, systems, and equipment for maximum efficiency. Utilize advanced Lean Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, VSM, root cause analysis, A3, 5S, SMED) to identify operational bottlenecks and deliver measurable performance improvements. Conduct detailed Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and time-motion studies to redesign processes for scalability and throughput gains. Support and facilitate Kaizen and 6S audits to sustain improvements and build continuous improvement capability at the site level. Collaborate with cross-departmental leaders in operations, supply chain and IT to align process improvement with strategic business goals. Provide engineering and operational leadership for automation and technology initiatives, including WMS optimization, MHE specification, and facility layout using AUTOCAD. Oversee external consultants and integrators for DC projects including but not limited to retrofit projects, facility design and implementation, four-wall optimization efforts, recommending automation solutions and innovation ideas, labor standards implementations, and incentive programs.Requires a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience managing continuous-improvement projects. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: performing inventory and workflow optimization using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and manufacturing executions systems; leading the concept and implementation phase of a Greenfield or a Brownfield distribution center design and implementation projects; conducting Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process flow redesign initiatives; facilitating Kaizen and 6S events and cross-functional process improvement workshops; working in a distribution center or production logistics environment; utilizing the principles, methods, and tools of Lean - Six Sigma to identify areas for time and cost savings, participating in improvement projects, and implementing solutions; leading and coaching junior engineers, developing performance standards and training programs; designing, executing and tracking baseline KPIs and cost saving metrics; managing capital equipment evaluations and vendor selection for material handling automation; managing multi-site WMS implementations and upgrades, including requirements gathering, process mapping, user acceptance testing, go-live support, and post-implementation optimization in collaboration with cross-functional teams; using Advance simulation tools; develop KPIs and dashboards to track and report on project ROI, cost savings and service improvements; and, creating and maintaining a centralized repository of engineering standards, labor models, and best practices to ensure consistency across the network. Must have or have held Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Position reports to Monroe, NJ office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
