You'llcollaboratewithexperiencedengineersandoperatorstoimprovethroughput,reducedefects,anddriveprocessefficiencyonassetssuchasplasma cold hearth furnaces, vacuum arc remelt furnaces, and raw material control systems.
What Youll Work On
Internshipprojectsmayinclude:
Analyzingprocess data(melt rate, vacuum level, furnace environment)toidentifyfurnace uptimeimprovementopportunities.
Supportingtrialstoimprove raw materials weighout, reduce turnaround time, or evaluate equipment upgrades.
Assistinginroot cause analysisofmelt defects,processanomalies,orchemistrydeviations.
Evaluatingandimprovingstandard work procedures,includingmaterialhandlingandfurnace control systems.
Participatinginmeltingtrialsfornew products or flow path qualifications.
