Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a part-time* Housekeeper* to join our team at the Skilled Nursing and Rehab campus in Monroe. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Monroe County. 

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules in accordance with Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling, and cleaning agent use policies and procedures
• Clean assigned areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, trash cans, furnishings and fixtures such as furniture, floors, walls, sills, closets and doors, according to established housekeeping procedures. 
• Empty wastebaskets in bathrooms, resident rooms and common areas as directed, replacing with a clean plastic bag and one extra bag at the bottom of the wastebasket.
• Clean general common areas, dining spaces, offices and employee areas according to the assignment schedule
• Assist with laundry duties as needed. 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior housekeeping or laundry experience (preferred but not required).
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and committed to teamwork.
• Compassion for seniors and a dedication to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Schedule and Compensation

• Employment type: Part-time, 16-24 hours / week
• *Schedule: *Day Shift (7:00a - 3:30p)
• Weekends: *every other weekend *rotation
• Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
