*Position Overview: * The Entry-Level Carpenter supports the construction, repair, and renovation of residential structures under the guidance of the owner of the company. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn the carpentry trade, develop hands-on skills, and contribute to high-quality home remodeling projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with framing, installation, and finishing tasks on residential job sites
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials such as lumber, plywood, and trim
- Support the installation of doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other interior components
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Load, unload, and move materials and tools as needed
- Follow instructions from lead carpenters and supervisors to complete daily tasks
- Use basic hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Perform general labor duties to support overall project progress
- Learn and apply building codes, safety standards, and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction practices (preferred but not required)
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
