Short Description

Overview

The Software Project Manager Cloud leads the delivery of medium-sized projects, as well as well‑defined workstreams within larger initiatives, that leverage cloud and hybrid technologies. This role focuses on disciplined execution—planning, coordinating, and tracking work across cross‑functional teams to ensure projects meet agreed scope, schedule, and quality targets. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a hands‑on approach to managing day‑to‑day delivery, while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining alignment with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of projects or defined workstreams, including cloud migrations and product/integration initiatives.

• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables; ensure alignment and documentation across stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and dependencies using standard PMO tools and methods.

• Coordinate daily activities across cross‑functional teams to drive execution and resolve delivery blockers.

• Track and report project performance (scope, schedule, cost, quality); surface risks or variances with recommended actions.

• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes; maintain RAID logs and escalate when needed.

• Lead recurring project communications, including status updates, stakeholder briefings, and meeting facilitation.

• Ensure compliance with PMO standards, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback.

• Perform other duties as assigned in support of business and technology objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience managing IT and software development projects, including cloud‑based initiatives

• 1 to 3 years of project or team lead experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent practical experience

• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional project teams and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey status, risks, and issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects involving cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), such as application migration, re-platforming, or SaaS integrations.

• Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, or scaled frameworks).

• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in support of cloud delivery.

• Industry experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments (e.g., gaming, lottery, financial services, telco) is an asset.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master (PSM/CSM) are a plus but not required.

• Previous experience in gaming, lottery, or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
