PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL WESTMD(GB) Instructor (Head Start) in Monaca, Pennsylvania
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Instructor to support our Head Start classroom, preparing them for success in school and beyond. This role includes planning and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons, fostering positive social and emotional growth, and engaging families as partners in their child's education. The Teacher also works closely with staff and community agencies to ensure that children and families receive comprehensive services that promote well-being and readiness for kindergarten.
Requirements:
- Current Act 33, Act 34, and FBI/DPW clearances
- Valid PA driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED *
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and stretching
Flexibility to travel between program locations within the county
Education:
- Prefer a minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Will consider an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in another field
- Also will consider a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent state-awarded certificate
*Or a High School Diploma/GED with proof of enrollment in a Preschool CDA program, or Associate Degree program (preferably in Early Childhood) with completion of CDA program must be achieved within two (2) years of hire and proof of ongoing enrollment must be provided each semester (minimum fall and spring)

10-month Position Hourly Wage:
$25.59 -- Associates Degree
$30.19 -- Bachelors/Advanced Degree
Year-round Position Hourly Wage:
$19.45 -- Associates Degree
$22.70 -- Bachelors/Advanced Degree
