Training & Development Specialist
Location requirement: Must live in Quad Cities, IA/IL; Des Moines, IA or Waterloo, IA
Travel: Up to 50% (frequently travels to locations across Illinois and Iowa)
Robert Half is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to support a large, complex organization with leadership and employee development initiatives. This role focuses on delivering high‑impact, pre‑designed training programs to a wide range of audiences, from frontline employees to senior leaders.
What You’ll Do
Deliver in‑person and virtual training workshops using established learning content
Facilitate inclusive, engaging sessions while adapting delivery in real time to audience needs
Effectively manage group dynamics, field questions, and navigate unexpected situations
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess development needs and provide program feedback
Coordinate training logistics including schedules, venues, delivery methods, and materials
Maintain attendance records and manage training tools and resources
Support continuous improvement of development programs using participant feedback and best practices

Requirements
What You Bring
2–4 years of experience facilitating team or leadership conversations
2–4 years of experience delivering virtual training using platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom
1–3 years of experience leveraging AI or automation tools to enhance content or streamline processes
Strong planning and coordination experience related to training or events
Ability to facilitate strategic and difficult conversations and course‑correct as needed
Excellent communication skills and a positive, adaptable approach

Everything DiSC (Workplace, Agile EQ, Management, Productive Conflict)

Instructional design experience

ICF Coaching Certification
Travel Requirements
Up to 50% travel, primarily within Iowa and Illinois, with occasional travel to other U.S. locations
Use of personal vehicle for trips within driving distance (mileage, gas, and expenses reimbursed)
