Mohawk Technology, LLC Electrical Technician in Mohawk, Michigan
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Technician to join our growing team at our Mohawk, MI office. The Electrical Technician will work closely with Controls Engineers and the Electrical Team to build and install electrical systems. In this role, you will play a key part in the fabrication and installation of electrical systems for our projects. You will leverage your electrical expertise to build, install, and troubleshoot industrial control systems.
Role and Responsibilities:
Build industrial control panels, wire machines, and robot cells
Work with multiple voltages including 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC
Lay out, drill, tap, and assemble electrical sub-panels and enclosures
Assist in the startup, commissioning and troubleshooting of new or existing equipment
Work with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and various sensors
Read electrical schematics and document changes with redlines
Operate forklifts, trucks, and trailers
Occasional travel estimated at 20%
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Walking, standing, going up and down stairs, sitting, kneeling, crouching, bending for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and heavier weights on an infrequent basis
Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on ladders or lifts)
Safely work with and around electrical control panels
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working in varying temperatures while on-site
Wearing PPE complying with the customer's and Mohawk Technology's safety standards, including safety-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, hair nets, and smocks
Moving around facilities on-site on a frequent basis, which can be very large with multiple floors and rooms

8 am -- 5 pm
Occasional nights and weekends
On-site hours:
Hours may vary, but are typically 12+

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Read, interpret, and redline schematic drawings
Associate Electrical degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year of experience installing and maintaining electrical systems
Knowledge of NEC, UL, OSHA & NFPA standards
