PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a driven and analytical Supply Officer to support a leading aerospace organization in Mobile, Alabama. In this role, you will be at the center of procurement and logistics operations—ensuring the right materials arrive at the right time, at the right cost, and with the highest quality standards. Your work will directly support production continuity, supplier performance, and overall supply chain excellence.
What You’ll Do
As a Supply Officer, you will manage supplier relationships, material flow, and logistics coordination across a dynamic, high-performance environment:
Supply Planning & Order Management (50%)
Place and manage purchase orders end-to-end based on demand requirements
Monitor material flow to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and quality delivery
Analyze supply chain disruptions and drive corrective and preventive actions
Manage forecasts, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and safety stock levels
Review MRP signals and resolve supply exceptions
Collaborate closely with suppliers to maintain delivery performance (OTD)
Support reordering processes for rejected, damaged, or scrapped materials
Customer Protection & Risk Management (20%)
Ensure product qualification requirements are met before ordering
Proactively mitigate risks related to missing parts and late deliveries
Communicate early warnings and recovery plans to stakeholders
Act as a key liaison for logistics providers and on-site supplier support
Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring (10%)
Track and analyze KPIs including delivery performance, stock levels, and shortages
Conduct root cause analysis (e.g., 8D methodology) and monitor corrective actions
Participate in supplier performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
Flow Optimization & Logistics Coordination (10%)
Support rework, returns, and inventory adjustments
Coordinate aircraft part reassignment and documentation
Manage invoice processing related to ordered materials
Stock Optimization (5%)
Monitor inventory levels, stock turns, and slow/non-moving items
Define optimal inventory strategies (safety stock, reorder points, batch sizes)
New Product Introduction (5%)
Support new product launches and modifications
Coordinate logistics and supply readiness with suppliers and internal teams
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within supply chain functions
Experience with SAP/R3 or similar ERP systems
Proficiency in Google Workspace applications
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external suppliers
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5%)
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or complex supply chain environments
Proven ability to drive supplier performance and accountability
Familiarity with inventory optimization and demand planning strategies
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
100% onsite role in Mobile, Alabama
Ability to work in both office and production floor environments
Capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Regular use of standard office and production-related equipment
PPE required for shop floor access, including steel-toed shoes and appropriate safety gear

Pay Details: $33.00 to $38.00 per hour
