Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician in Mitchell, South Dakota
Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift (Mechanical Focus)
Manufacturing Facility | Mitchell, SD
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay: $25–$30/hour (depending on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems on production and packaging equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and related systems
Diagnose breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and keep production moving
Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements
Work closely with production teams to address equipment issues
Document maintenance work and follow all safety procedures
Support occasional weekend maintenance when needed
What We’re Looking For
1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
(hands‑on mechanical experience or strong personal/mechanical considered)
Solid understanding of mechanical systems (bearings, sprockets, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
Ability to read equipment manuals and mechanical drawings
Basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus, not a requirement
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
