Job Description
A large manufacturer specializing in pipes, valves, and flanges has an immediate opening for a painter in their warehouse. The position involves using a giant industrial paint hose from a 200-gallon paint container to spray paint large pipes, valves, and fittings. Responsibilities may also include sandblasting parts before painting them, as well as general labor tasks.
Responsibilities
Use industrial paint hoses to spray paint large pipes, valves, and fittings.
Perform sandblasting on parts before painting.
Engage in general labor tasks such as moving heavy fabricated material, cleaning up shavings, sweeping, and housekeeping.
Assist with various warehouse tasks.
Essential Skills
2+ years of industrial painting experience.
Ability to spray or powder coat metal fabricated products.
Experience working in hot, non-climate-controlled environments.
Willingness to perform other general labor duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Extensive industrial paint experience.
Experience with blasting and sandblasting.
Experience moving heavy fabricated equipment with a forklift.
Ability to powder coat.
Ability to calculate millage.

Work Environment
The facility is very large, encompassing a shipping department, receiving department, and inventory warehouse. The environment is non-climate controlled, with temperatures rising in the summer despite the presence of fans. The culture is tight-knit, with about 20-30 people on site, fostering interaction and support among colleagues. The standard shift is from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for additional hours based on production needs. Typically, employees work 40 hours per week, increasing to 45+ hours and up to 50 hours during busy weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Missouri City, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
