Kitchen Assistant

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Kitchen Assistant:

• Kitchen Assistant- cooking, cooking from scratch, prepping food, dish washing, serving, etc.

• Prepare, cook, and season meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines

• Operate grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines

• Assist with prep work, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients

• Ensure food is prepared to the appropriate temperature and quality standards

• Serve meals to residents in a friendly, timely, and respectful manner

• Assist residents with special food requests within dietary restrictions

• Maintain a clean and organized serving area

• Comply with health department guidelines and facility policies

• Report any safety hazards or equipment concerns promptly

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Prior experience as a cook, grill cook, food preparer, or server (experience in senior living or healthcare setting preferred but not required)

• Understanding of food safety and proper kitchen sanitation
