Are you a Dayforce WFM guru? At your best when you’re improving systems, influencing operations, and using data to drive smarter decisions?

Dexterra Group is looking for a Workforce Management (WFM) Program Lead to play a critical role in shaping how we schedule, track, forecast, and manage labour across a diverse, operationally focused organization. This role sits at the intersection of Operations, HR, Payroll, and IT—with real influence, real complexity, and real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

The WFM Program Lead provides functional leadership for our Workforce Management capabilities, with a strong focus on Dayforce Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labour Forecasting, and Absence Management.

You’ll act as the subject matter expert for workforce practices and WFM system functionality, helping the business balance operational performance, cost control, compliance, and the employee experience.

  • Leading day‑to‑day Workforce Management operations and system effectiveness.

  • Acting as the functional owner for Dayforce WFM modules, translating operational needs into practical system configurations.

  • Supporting workforce strategies that balance service levels, labour cost, and employee experience.

  • Monitoring enterprise WFM KPIs such as labour utilization, overtime, schedule adherence, and absences.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, forecasting accuracy, and labour efficiency.

  • Partnering with Operations leaders to optimize staffing models and scheduling practices.

  • Ensuring WFM processes comply with employment standards, collective agreements, and internal labour policies.

  • Supporting payroll readiness, audits, and issue resolution in partnership with HR and Payroll.

  • Leading WFM testing, enhancements, and releases with minimal operational disruption.

  • Providing functional guidance and mentoring to WFM analysts and schedulers.

  • Driving standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

Who we're looking for?

  • You’re a workforce management professional who understands both systems and operations, and you’re comfortable influencing across functions.

  • A post-secondary degree in Business, HR, Operations, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in Workforce Management, labour scheduling, or time & attendance.

  • Hands‑on experience with Dayforce WFM (Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Absence).

  • A strong understanding of labour laws, scheduling practices, and payroll impacts.

  • The ability to analyze workforce data and turn insights into practical action.

  • Clear, confident communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Bonus points for

  • Experience in large, multi‑site, unionized, or regulated environments.

  • Dayforce WFM certification or comparable HCM/WFM platform experience.

  • Experience supporting workforce transformations or optimization initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience working in workforce‑intensive industries such as hospitality, facilities management, or remote operations.
