Neovia Logistics Warehouse Associate Lead_Shift_1 in Mississauga, Ontario
JOB SUMMARY
Ensures that shipment or receipt of goods to and/or from various locations is accomplished. Demonstrates and leads with a sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain, materials management and distribution/transportation processes and policies to meet the business requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and coordinate daily team activities to meet production, quality, and safety goals
Act as the first point of contact for team members regarding workflow, priorities, and operational issues
Ensure compliance safety standards, quality processes, and environmental regulations
Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions where required
Participate in problem-solving activities and root cause analysis related to dispatch errors, delays, damages, or process breakdowns
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills, engagement, and performance
Participate in problem solving activities and root cause analysis
Support onboarding, training, and performance reviews of team members
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 months of experience in a Team Lead or supervisory role
Proven experience leading 15 or more employees
Experience in warehousing or material handling
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety environment
Reach Truck Certification
Order Picker Certification - Mandatory
Counter Balance Forklift Certification
Experience in shipping and logistics operations
Train-the-Trainer certification
Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
