Our Resources subsector within WSP’s Energy, Resources & Industry (ERI) group supports industrial and mining clients across Canada. For decades, our experts have delivered economic studies, project management, detailed engineering, procurement, site management, commissioning, programming, and full EPCM execution across a wide range of heavy industrial environments.
To support our continued growth, we are hiring an Structural Engineer . In this role, you’ll help deliver impactful industrial structural engineering projects—from conceptual design to construction—while collaborating with a tight‑knit team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists. We are seeking candidates who desire to work out of our New Brunswick and Greater Toronto Area offices.
Your Impact
Analysis and design of Steel, and Concrete Structures in heavy industrial and mining projects;
Analysis and design of foundation systems;
Structural Design and preparation of construction drawings and structural calculations;
Visit project sites and perform construction reviews;
Interact with clients, design partners, and contractors;
Write technical reports and assist in proposal preparations;
Support project management, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The Skills That Set You Apart
B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering;
Professional Engineering License (P.Eng) in New Brunswick or Ontario;
Between 7 to 12 years of structural design experience in consulting engineering firms;
Previous experience with industrial projects desired (mining, processing plants, etc.) with proven design experience in Structural Steel and Concrete;
Knowledge of CSA design standards, and National/ Provincial Building Codes;
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to changing project requirements;
Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as STAAD-PRO, S-Frame, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.;
Familiar with AutoCAD and ideally Revit Structure;
Great communication and interpersonal skills;
Possess a valid Full-G driver’s license;
Must be able to go to project site as needed.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 to $130,800
MB & ON: $90,100 to $124,100
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $89,200 to $118,500
