The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Retail Labour and LP Manager, the Senior Retail Asset Protection Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, minimizing loss, and supporting operational efficiency by implementing loss prevention strategies. The candidate will conduct investigations, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives. This person will work cross-functionally with operations and store teams to ensure a secure and efficient environment and is responsible for adhering to the company’s compliance policy guidelines with asset management, while supporting day-to-day operational tasks.

What You’re Responsible For:

Sales Audit:

  • Manage the monthly discount summary audit report.

  • Manage the weekly carrier fraud audit reports.

  • Complete monthly transaction audits.

  • Manage audits of partner trade in with missing billings and cycle time monitoring

  • Support with BOPIS chargeback to provide any relevant documentation.

  • Conduct and attend operational audits, inspections, and physical assessments to identify vulnerabilities at stores.

  • Coordinated efforts to implement loss prevention programs and initiatives that reduce shrink, fraud, and theft.

  • Gather data and produce reports re: theft and fraud incidents.

    Asset Management:

  • Support with compiling all the mandatory documents for internal business approval related to asset management.

  • Conduct photo audit to ensure compliance with asset management policies and operational standards.

  • Develop and implement asset tracking reports that ensure proper utilization and accountability with all business partners.

  • Develop and maintain asset records and inventories by ensuring compliance with company standard policy.

  • Manage all registration of assets in 3rdparty system and ensure business approval.

  • Maintain contract renewals for asset management and ensure business approval.

  • Manage the receipt of retail assets by completing verification with the retail team and creating asset control numbers and updating inventory reports.

  • Manage the company semiannual audit of asset management and coordination across multiple teams.

  • Lead asset management in new retail locations and closing of retail locations, managing asset management across all retail locations with any gaps or deficiencies with fulfillment.

  • Support with creation of claim documents for asset loss recovery.

  • Responsible for organizing and storing documents in centralized folders.

  • Monitor and managing the use of security devices (e.g., GSK) and alarm systems.

  • Support policy and procedure development for asset protection, safety, loss prevention standards; help ensure company-wide compliance.

  • Participate in inventory control and reconciliation efforts, working alongside store team to plan and execute inventory cycles and shrink mitigation program.

    Process Optimization

  • Generate asset management reports and insights by leveraging planograms and in-store audit reports.

  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to complete audit of assets and conduct audit spot checks of assets.

  • Assist with updating and refining standard operation procedures (SOP) to improve workflow efficiency.

  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve loss prevention, asset management and operational efficiency.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk Management, Logistics, Sales, Sr. Operations Specialist, Merchandising and Store Management to ensure seamless operations.

  • Any other duties as required or requested will be assigned.

    To Join The Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ College Diploma or related experience in logistics and or Business Administration.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in retail operations, Loss Prevention, Audits, or related experience.

  • Strong analytical skills and competency using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Possess exceptional organizational & planning skills including attention to detail.

  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in the organization: from senior executives to support staff within an outside of the company.

  • Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to travel overseas and across Canada

  • Able to work extended hours and weekends when required

    The salary for this role ranges between $65,000 and $70,000, your final offer will reflect your relevant skills, individual strengths and experience.
