Job Description
Summary:
Work closely with Lead Production Material Technician and Group Leader Production Technicians, Production Technicians, Packaging and Warehouse staff to ensure the daily packaging schedule is supported from a materials perspective. Ensure materials are accurately reconciled in a timely manner during production and reconciliation are entered in the ERP system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Functions:
Assist Production Material Technician III andobservehow to supply materials to the packaging lines.
Assist Production Material Technician III andobservehow to Remove finished goods from the packaging lines or processing suites, print/apply labels and enter Finished Goods in the ERP system.
Assist Production Material Technician IIIon monitoring ofschedule to ensure packaging jobs are staged and deliveredin a timely manner.
Assist Production Material Technician IIIto learn how Packaging M. Handlers Works with the warehouse staging personnel to ensure the effective release, staging and flow of materials.
Exposed toaccuracy in counting andreconciling ofpackaging jobsto ensure accuracy.
Assistin ensuringgeneral housekeeping of packaging area.
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
Perform alternating or rotating shift work.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or food processing plant.
Previous experience with manual and electrical lift trucks would be an asset.
Equivalency :
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Mathematical aptitude. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency with the English language.

Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines of deliverables in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes, or odour. Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator.

Compensation
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Ontario is $36,608.00–$44,100.00.
