Aerotek Material Handler in Mississauga, Ontario
Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
Join a leading custom manufacturer of industrial packaging as a Material Handler. This role involves a blend of paperwork, inventory management, forklift operation, computer tasks, and loading/unloading various sized loads. You will be involved in creating industrial-sized custom crates and managing a smaller corrugated boxing line.
Responsibilities
Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate documentation.
Operate a propane counterbalance forklift to stage and pick products for the production team.
Perform computer tasks such as assembling bills of lading.
Load and unload materials, including non-standard loads like lumber.
Assist in shipping and receiving tasks using computers.
Drive the forklift outdoors to access stored products and ensure the facility is operational during extreme weather by shoveling snow when necessary.
Essential Skills
Experience with counterbalance forklift operations and material handling.
Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes, including creating bills of lading.
Strong computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
Counterbalance propane license and relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with non-standard load handling.
Familiarity with inventory counting tasks.

Work Environment
Work in a non-unionized, small but growing shop with a large facility. The company values team culture and frequently holds events such as BBQs. The work environment is bright, clean, and manufacturing-focused. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
