Job Title: Jr. Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Toronto Pearson Airport
Structure:
Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, paid on-call every 3 weeks.
ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic located at Toronto Pearson International Airport to support our Facilities Maintenance Operations.
Responsibilities:
Work shall include but not be limited to the following:
• General maintenance of building facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and upkeep; maintenance to include but not limited to belts changes and filter changes, minor adjustments, and inspections, and coordination of appropriate trades.
• Communicate deficiencies, issues, and resolutions to Client, Colleagues, and Stakeholders.
• Assisting maintenance operatives, escorting subcontractors, provide support to Project teams to execute plans on site.
• Assist with other duties, as required.
• Perform light-medium duties.
Minor junk removal from common spaces.
Deliver materials throughout site for repairs.
Carry common tools and equipment around site.
Deliver crowd control barriers around site.
Refuel generators, refuel elevated work platforms.
Perform minor plumbing repairs (tightening of fittings, replace minor parts).
Perform minor drywall patching, ceiling tile repairs/replacements
• Perform work from heights.
• All other maintenance duties as assigned.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Proactive approach to duties.
• Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 diploma.
• Must possess a clear drivers abstract.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office.
• Must be able to apply for obtain and maintain necessary security clearance (RAIC) including transportation security clearance.
