Citigroup Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst - Vice President in Mississauga, Ontario

Role Description:

We are looking for hands Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst with strong experience in development and implementation of enterprise applications. Candidate should be able to design and develop business modules independently using J2EE and related frameworks. Role demands strong understanding of standard development practices and implementation strategies. Person should have exposure to server-side coding and design principles and interactions with RESTful communication and Database. Knowledge of Workflow technologies is an added advantage. This role involves working as a part of distributed teams and demands strong writing, communication, time-management skills along with good technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements

  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of core java, collections, multithreading, performance tuning, troubleshooting and deployment.

  • Experience in core J2EE, Spring

  • Proficient in Oracle RDBMS

  • Strong knowledge of Microservices, Design patterns/techniques

  • Strong logical abilities and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of performance of Java based applications.

  • Hands-on and strong understanding of workflow technologies

  • Working knowledge of build and configuration tools like Gradle , maven

  • Familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of SOA concepts and implementations

  • Experience with workflow technologies

  • Ability to prioritize and manage schedules under tight, fixed deadlines

  • Ability to produce professional, technically-sound solutions

  • Strong writing, communication, time-management, decision-making, and basic task organization skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, MS in related field or related field preferred

  • Master’s degree preferred
