As a process specialist in Anode Materials, you will contribute to business development efforts and supporting projects from concept through detailed engineering.
Typical scope of work can include:
Responsiblities:
Testwork, piloting, demonstration and commercial plant scale-up;
Conduct studies (concept/PFS/feasibility) including:
o Development of work plans, design basis, process flow diagrams and P&ID development
o Ability to review/guide the development of mass and energy balances and process simulations
o Perform independently and/or review design calculations, datasheets, control philosophies and other engineering deliverables
o Contribute in developing CAPEX/OPEX estimates
Execution including detailed engineering, EPCM delivery and participation in design-supply models as required
Commissioning, ramp-up and operational support
Participation to market studies, financial and/or business case analyses
Plant troubleshooting audits
Qualifications and Experience
5-10 years of professional experience in the process design of battery-grade anode graphite, spherical coated graphite, Li foil anode, silicon-infused graphite and/or silicon or related commodities, as well as CAM products such as NMC or LFP.
Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
Professional Engineering license is preferred
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Experience with technical studies and design is preferred
Ability to manage client relationships and strong business development skills, strong network in anode materials market space
Experience in preparation of technical proposals for Clients
Skills:
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to develop fit-for-purpose solutions
Flexibility to work across different regions to service and bring expertise to global projects
Must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Enthusiasm for mentoring and supervising team members and providing rigorous technical guidance
Location: The role can be based in one of Hatch's global offices, preferably in Mississauga, Ontario, but alternative office locations can be discussed.
Base salary range: $120,000 - $150,000

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
