Sobeys Analyst - Merchandising Commercial Programs in Mississauga, Ontario

Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opening for an Analyst- Merchandising Commercial Programs.

In this role, you’ll support the development and execution of FreshCo’s merchandising programs. This role blends data analytics with project coordination, helping in‑store execution and continuous improvement.

Here's where you'll have an impact:

  • Support the development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of FreshCo merchandising programs across assigned categories.

  • Analyze program performance, including sales, margin, and execution metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to category teams.

  • Monitor merchandising program compliance and effectiveness at store level, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting to support decision-making related to merchandising initiatives.

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of data used for program analysis and reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and reporting related to merchandising programs.

  • Work closely with Category Teams to create, analyze, and monitor merchandising programs.

  • Partner with Planogram, Pricing, Assortment Management, Operations, and other internal teams to support program development and in-store execution.

  • Collaborate with external partners and data providers as required to support merchandising initiatives.

  • Lead and support project management activities related to merchandising programs, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate communication, training materials, and rollout plans to ensure clear and effective execution of merchandising programs in stores.

  • Provide analytical support using internal and external data sources to evaluate program performance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Utilize systems and tools including BW, SAP, Circana data, AC Nielsen reporting, and Tableau to support analysis and reporting.

Here's what you'll offer:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience or demonstrated analytical aptitude with BW, SAP, Circana data analysis, AC Nielsen reporting, and Tableau reporting

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly in both written and verbal formatsStrong organizational and project management skills
