Job Description:
This position provides customer service to internal and external customers. This role will enter data for order processing, document scanning, shipment routing, and others. This position solves problems and maintains ongoing professional relationships with customers.
Job Title: Administrative Assistant III
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent / On-site
Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)
Shift Hours: 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)
Shift Duration: 8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)
Work Location: 1930 DERRY ROAD EAST MISSISSAUGA, ON L5S 1E2
Salary Range: $19.42 to $21.84 per hour
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Perform daily customer service functions as per client's needs.
Monitor the coordination of shipments including communication with overseas offices, pick up, delivery of goods; freight monitoring, documentation, insurance and accounting.
Advise customers regarding air and ground freight export procedures, international regulations.
Obtain and produce all pertinent information.
Organize transport and documentation with carriers.
Produce accurate information and documentation on time.
Develop business relations and follow up with customers and partners (ex: carriers).
Ensure the Company closes all files within the set time frame established. Ability to determine if changes or updates need to be made to said files and adjust accordingly and timely.
Participate in improving quality service and processes.
Handling Cold Chain shipments from end to end
Requirements
2 years of experience in the transportation field – Preferred
Bachelor's degree or International equivalent related to Logistics and transportation (Ciffa, CITT, etc.) – Preferred
Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of E2K, TMS, Flex Global View, WorldShip, and brokerage.
Knowledge with number of transactions and profit per transaction, accurate and timely data entry and information processing, accurate and timely costing and billing for closing of files, and full compliance of all department processes and requirements to improve clients' satisfaction.
Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with 90% accuracy
Fast learn and adapt skills to different systems
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, basic research, attention to detail, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
