Overview
Provide analytical support and actionable insights for SGWS Supplier Development & Marketing (SDM) executives. This role will compile and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources across the portfolio of SDM and SG+ suppliers. These insights are used to analyze supplier business results, program performance, and contractual compliance. This role will interact directly with SDM Supplier Executives and the SDM Supplier Strategy team while also collaborating with supplier counterparts.
Primary Responsibilities
Support department-wide Insights projects that can drive standardization and efficiencies while driving innovation of new reporting capabilities and insights
Analyze business performance scorecards with specific commentary focused on business drivers, performance trends, risks, and opportunities including innovation items, leveraging all available data sources including Compass, SalesNav, and Nielsen
Provide in-depth insights to support executive business decisions and supplier expansions
Work closely to support Supplier Insights leader(s) to research and analyze a portfolio of suppliers using both internal and external tools and resources to uncover key issues, benchmarks, and best practices; synthesize findings into recommendations for optimal business solutions
Influence performance-based culture through the development of analytics, tools, and technology leading to increased transparency, accountability, and best practice for the business
Serve as a contact along with the Supplier Insights Leader(s) for Suppliers to improve sales reporting capabilities by streamlining resource application data into review/reporting
Provide support for additional departmental projects as needed, including serving as an active project participant on cross-functional project teams
Maintain a predetermined set of standards and advise on new and innovative methods to improve the standards
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
2+ years of experience preferred in a corporate business/financial analyst role
Ability to clearly synthesize and analyze data from a variety of internal and external data sources
Working knowledge of Business Objects, Power Bi, and/or experience in Tableau is preferred
Strong knowledge of analytical tools that support Corporate, Regional, and local Insights requests including SalesNav and Business Objects
Advanced knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
Physical Demands
