Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in participating in project teams to define test requirements for new products. You will be responsible for developing test plans and procedures for both new and existing products to support production. Additionally, you will provide hardware and software debugging support and ensure that the Manufacturing team receives proper product training. You will also update test programs, scripts, databases, documentation, and labels as per Engineering Change Orders (ECO) changes.
Responsibilities
Participate in project teams to define test requirements for new products.
Develop test plans and procedures for both new and existing products to support production.
Provide hardware and software debugging support and ensure Manufacturing receives proper product training.
Update test programs, scripts, databases, documentation, and labels as per ECO changes.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with testers and fixtures to support production schedules.
Apply failure analysis expertise to identify and resolve product and process issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally and work independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in software testing and test equipment.
Experience with LabVIEW and scripting languages.
Minimum internship in test engineering in a production environment that includes electronics manufacturing.
Experience with networking, functional testing, box build assembly, and hardware failure analysis.
Understanding of product lifecycle and change management processes in manufacturing.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of Linux and LabVIEW (preferred).
Familiarity with test instruments such as DMM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
