System One Structural Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Type: 12 months Contract
Compensation: $70.00 - $75.00 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid
Hours: Primarily office work, Tues-Thurs preferred. Weekly or Bi-Weekly site visits; occasional overnights.
System One is currently seeking a Structural Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Minneapolis, MN.
Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
Multi-year hydroelectric facility in Western Wisconsin involving dam reconstruction and upgrades.
Heavy structural and reinformed concrete work; work in water with staged installations.
Significant regulatory involvement with FERC.
Estimated 5-6 year of resource needs.
Work with construction manager, ECS Construction and Barr Engineering.
Act as on-site technical interface, resolving issues and ensuring quality.
Structural Engineer Requirements:
5-7 years structural engineering experience
Structural engineering focus (steel, concrete)
ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors)
Microsoft Office; heavy SharePoint use
Ability to open native CAD filed (MicroStation ideal)
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Hydro or water-in-work experience preferred
Experience with FERC- regulated projects preferred
PE or FE not required but preferred
