Actalent Software Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to develop Python software for drivers on Test Equipment. The role involves separating low-level instrument communication details from high-level test procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently develop Python software in an automated test system environment.

  • Distill system-level requirements into individual specifications for electrical and software components of a system and select appropriate hardware and software solutions.

  • Effectively troubleshoot systems associated with the Python program, including software and other test system aspects.

  • Write technical documentation, including specifications, verification procedures, and reports.

  • Test prototypes and/or production systems.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and software development.

  • Experience in object-oriented programming, including C++, C#, and Python.

  • Experience developing software for test systems.

  • Familiarity with software version control systems such as SVN.

  • Experience in the Medical Device Software Development Life Cycle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.

Work Environment

The position is based in the engineering department, utilizing cubes and test labs. The role requires collaboration with team members in a dynamic and innovative work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
