About the Role

MiniMed, a scaled, global, and newly public Diabetes management medical technology company, is seeking a Senior Program Director of Investor Relations to direct the development and execution of its global IR strategy. This high-impact position works closely with and reports to the Vice President, Head of Investor Relations, and is a key interface between MiniMed and the investment community, responsible for communicating the company’s vision, strategy, and financial performance to institutional investors, sellside analysts, and other key stakeholders.

The Senior Director will manage IR-related financial communications used in quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences, medical congresses, investor meetings, and other events. The position requires close coordination with FP&A, Accounting, and other internal teams. The position will oversee sellside consensus models and shareholder targeting models. This position will play a critical role in shaping MiniMed’s financial narrative in its early days as a public company, creating and strengthening relationships with the investment community, and providing actionable insights to executive leadership. The Senior Director will support and be a key strategic partner with the Head of Investor Relations.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in IR, capital markets, and financial communications, as well as a proven ability to manage relationships with senior executives, investors, and analysts. The position requires an articulate and analytical professional leader who can provide work direction and develop talent, make significant individual contributions, and strategically leverage the broader organization to obtain relevant information and insight into key issues. The ideal candidate should either already possess, or have the capacity to quickly develop, an in-depth understanding of the company’s activities and strategies, competitive landscape, financial reporting, and financial disclosure regulations. The ideal candidate builds cross-functional relationships, works effectively with others, and thinks strategically, globally, and creatively. In addition, the ideal candidate will need to think and execute quickly under a variety of high pressure, time sensitive situations, and needs to be able to make clear, rational decisions, compliant with all applicable rules and regulations, in a very dynamic environment. This position interacts regularly with all levels of management and must be able to earn the respect and trust of executive leadership based on demonstrated performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a company spokesperson with institutional investors and equity research analysts, participating in investor meetings (in-person and virtual), roadshows, financial conferences, and trade shows, building and maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries

  • Accompany and support the CEO, CFO, Head of IR, and other senior executives in investor meetings and events, including providing proper preparation, relevant financial and operational information, real-time advice, candid feedback, and constructive criticism

  • Direct financial communications to investors and analysts, including the preparation of earnings materials, financial guidance, presentations, and Q&A

  • Make recommendations to optimize the company’s financial disclosure

  • Monitor and analyze investor sentiment, market trends, stock performance, and competitor activity to provide insights for executive leadership and inform corporate strategy

  • Track equity research analyst financial models and consensus

  • Track and analyze shareholder activity, including monitoring 13-F filings and performing targeting analysis to identify opportunities and risks

  • Collaborate closely with Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury), Strategy, Communications, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant messaging in all disclosures

  • Serve as a leader within the high-performing IR team, advising the Head of IR, and mentoring and developing other team members to support their professional growth and drive team success

  • Monitor external, cross-sector IR developments and best practices, providing guidance to the IR team and senior management to implement when appropriate

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and excellence in IR

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of relevant experience (or 13+ with an advanced degree) with 10+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have:

  • In-depth understanding of financial and investment markets; established relationships with investors/analysts preferred

  • Experience in medical devices or healthcare sector

  • Experience in equity research, investment management, investor relations, strategy, or finance

  • Exceptional financial and investment analysis, oral and written communication, and presentation skills; able to distill complex concepts into clear messages

  • Demonstrated experience working with investors, senior executives, or other high-touch client groups

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience collaborating cross-functionally

  • Strong interpersonal skills: poised, persuasive, confident, diplomatic, and discreet

  • Flexible, quick learner, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Accountable to high standards; executes and delivers results at a high-performance level

  • Proven experience with process innovation and continuous improvement

Travel:

  • The position may require a few business trips every quarter

Location:

  • The position would be ideally located in either Northridge, CA or Minneapolis, MN

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$222,400.00 - $333,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
