The Senior Consultant, Transformation Program Manager is a consultant responsible for driving day-to-day program execution, governance, and delivery discipline within large-scale technology transformation programs. This role leads the Program Management Office (PMO) function, ensuring alignment across workstreams, maintaining execution rigor, and enabling successful delivery across all phases of the program lifecycle.
This leader operates within complex, multi-workstream and multi-vendor environments, partnering closely with client PMO teams, functional leaders, and system integrators to ensure integrated planning, transparent reporting, and effective decision-making. The role is accountable for orchestrating the integrated master schedule, managing dependencies, and leading cutover planning and execution to support successful deployment and stabilization.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day PMO execution across large-scale business and technology transformation programs
Establish and manage program execution frameworks, including planning cadence, reporting, and governance structures
Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, ensuring alignment across all workstreams and vendors
Drive cross-functional dependency management and critical path execution to maintain program timelines
Partner with client PMO and delivery teams to operate as a unified program function with shared visibility and accountability
Lead program-level reporting, including status, risks, issues, and executive communications
Manage program risks, issues, and escalation processes to ensure timely resolution and transparency
Oversee planning and execution of key program milestones, including testing readiness, deployment planning, and hypercare support
Support the coordination of system design and requirements development from as-is process mapping and storage, requirements development, and coordination of decision processes needed for a full transformation design
Lead end-to-end cutover planning, including development of cutover strategy, runbooks, rehearsals, and command center execution
Coordinate closely with system integrators and functional teams to ensure alignment between build progress, testing, and deployment readiness
Support governance forums by preparing materials, facilitating discussions, and driving decision outcomes
Enable consistency and discipline across workstreams while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving program needs
Location
Minneapolis or Denver / Hybrid, travel as required by client
Requirements
7-10+ years of experience leading PMO or program delivery functions within large-scale transformation programs, preferably SAP or ERP-enabled
Proven experience managing day-to-day execution of complex, multi-workstream programs with high levels of coordination and dependency management
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and phased / multi-wave deployment approaches
Experience building and managing integrated master schedules, including dependency tracking and critical path management
Experience supporting the design and requirements phases of implementation and coordinating with stakeholders and resources to collect present decision information for executive stakeholders
Demonstrated experience leading cutover planning, rehearsal, and execution for large-scale system implementations
Experience working within structured governance models, including alignment to executive steering and cross-functional decision forums
Experience operating in multi-vendor environments, partnering effectively with system integrators and client-side teams
Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities in integration-heavy and fast-paced delivery environments
Strong consulting and leadership skills, including executive communication, stakeholder alignment, and facilitation
Ability to operate with a balance of structure and flexibility in dynamic program environments
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $165,000 annually. This is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset and years and depth of experience. This may differ from location to location. Bonuses and other incentives are awarded at the Company’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall company performance.
