Principal Financial Group Securities Operations Specialist I in Minneapolis, Minnesota
What You'll Do
Performs a variety of operational securities and cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing or processes that require general knowledge of unit functions and systems. Duties may include differentiating, processing and reconciling transactions; researching inquiries; addressing and resolving customer inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed to support internal business partners and/or clients/investment managers; reviewing time sensitive and/or less complex to moderately complex documents; Participates in revising departmental procedures. Coordinates situations that involve other departments.
Processing and reconciling transactions to ensure timely settlement and accurate recordkeeping. Reviews daily reports to identify discrepancies and maintain SLA compliance. Answers routine questions from clients to ensure consistent client support.
Mitigates operational risks by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and standard operational procedures.
Assist in training, professional development, and assisting with procedural updates.
Performs other duties as needed and participates in special projects as required.

Who You Are
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in customer service, operations, financial services or business processing
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$22.21 - $33.31 / hour
Salary Details
The following salary ranges reflect market-specific compensation for this position across multiple job levels. Candidates will be evaluated to determine the appropriate job level based on their skills and experience.
Minneapolis, MN:
Securities Ops Spec I: $22.21 - $29.61 / hr
Securities Ops Spec II: $24.86 - $33.31 / hr
Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Work Environments
This role is a hybrid schedule (blending 3-4 days in-office and 1-2 days remote). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors. Monday - Friday.

Securities Operations Specialist II
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services or business processing
