Summary The Screen and Dye-Sub Lead is responsible for executing the company s goals and objectives to meet deadlines in the most effective and efficient manner. The lead will have a deep knowledge of all aspects of the screen department. The lead is responsible for the continual assessment of production processes to ensure the team is operating at the highest level of speed and quality to meet client expectations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Lead the team while reinforcing productivity and quality driven objectives Execute department and quality processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to job specifications and timelines Accurately enter production and job information into company database Troubleshoot missing information, supplies and conflicting information, etc. Be a change agent for driving out waste throughout the process Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making Facilitate communication between team members and address concerns within the team Clearly label raw material, work in progress, and finished goods Train new employees and coach existing employees on proper procedures, proper use of equipment, and systems (e.g. D365 and Paycom) Act as a primary point of contact with other departments for questions and problem resolution Ensure equipment is maintained, while maximizing equipment efficiency May act as back-up to supervisor in their absence. Responsible for making daily staffing decisions (i.e. granting on the spot time off and/or sharing resources with other departments) Maintain and organize department supplies Maintain a clean and organized work environment Will be required to participate with daily production as workloads dictate Ensure and enforce safety requirements and documentation Flexibility to work between jobs, job classifications, and buildings as directed by management Provide flexibility to other departments and areas as required by the business Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment Follows all safety and workplace policies Performs other related duties as assigned Education/Certification High School Diploma or GED Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalent Experience 1-3 years lead experience in manufacturing environment Experience providing daily work direction to hourly/shift workers Experience using Microsoft Office Products Forklift certified, or ability to obtain forklift operating certificate Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday Benefits offered for full-time, union employees Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Pension Fund with Employer Contributions Paid Time Off 9 Paid Holidays Disability Insurance Group Life and AD&D Insurance Career Advancement Professional Development Opportunities Employee Recognition English as a Second Language Education Online Training Opportunities
