Summary
The Racker Stacker assists Press Operators in the performance of their duties. This position moves stocks as needed, performs general and job specific cleaning and assists Operators with various tasks to improve efficiency. This position also will assist in all areas of Local 880 including cleaning screens. The Racker Stacker demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values of integrity, passion, possibility and the ability to work at the speed of retail.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Provide assistance to operators as directed with print and other production
Operate a fork truck or other equipment to move stock and other supplies as needed
Help others as directed or when needed with print and other production
Check ink adhesion and drying at the start of run and throughout production
Read, understand, and interpret job tickets
Inspect for print defects or problems during production runs and inform the Operator of possible problems
Perform routine maintenance and assists with repairs of equipment
Flexibility to move between other jobs, job classifications and buildings as directed by management
Ensure that company’s safety regulations and procedures are followed
Performs other related duties as assigned

Competencies and Skills
Proficient in operating fork trucks and other equipment needed to arrange stocks and supplies
Ability to take orders and guidance from Operators
Ability to direct other on the team as needed to increase productivity
Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems that arise during production
Knowledge of printing and print production including but not limited to file setup, printing, laminating, mounting, cutting and finishing
Excellent teamwork skills
Strong basic math and computer skills
Follows all safety and workplace policies

Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time

Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday.
