Aerotek Punch Press Operator in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Punch Press Operator – 1st Shift (Union Shop) with the potential to make up to $28/hour in the first 2 years!
Full-Time | Union Position | Long-Term Stability
We’re looking for a Punch Press Operator to join our metal stamping team. You’ll set up and run punch presses producing washers and other precision metal parts. This is a solid, steady job in a union shop with clear pay progression, strong benefits, and long-term employment.
What You’ll Do
Set up and operate punch presses safely
Run metal stamping jobs (punching, forming, bending, blanking)
Read blueprints and work instructions
Check parts using basic measuring tools
Keep production running efficiently once trained
Make minor adjustments and troubleshoot as needed
Inspect parts to ensure quality
Help with other shop equipment when needed
What You Need
Punch press or metal stamping experience
Ability to read prints and measure parts (±0.005")
Basic shop math skills
Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
Good attendance and attention to detail
Willing to get required hand/inspection tools
Nice to Have:
Punch press setup or die change experience
Union shop experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
