Job Purpose
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient electrical operations across multiple facilities by providing expert-level electrical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Serve as the designated Master of Record for Minnesota, overseeing permitting and code compliance, and supporting the development of maintenance staff through training and coaching.
Essential Functions
Plan, design, layout, and supervise installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
Troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems (e.g., motors, VFDs, PLCs, control panels)
Ensure compliance with NEC, Minnesota State Electrical Code, NFPA, OSHA, and other standards
Prepare and review blueprints, specifications, material lists, and cost/time estimates
Oversee permit applications, inspections, and maintain documentation of electrical work
Act as the signing Master of Record for Minnesota facilities
Train and coach new and existing employees on electrical systems, safety practices, and maintenance procedures
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Manage inventory of electrical parts and coordinate with vendors
Coordinate with contracted electricians and external vendors to ensure electrical work meets compliance, quality, and safety standards
Support capital projects, upgrades, and system integrations
Participate in safety programs and ensure lock-out/tag-out compliance
Maintain a structured schedule supporting operations across three locations, potentially including after-hours emergency call coverage as needed
Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or diploma in electrical technology, electronics, or industrial maintenance preferred
Valid Minnesota Class A Master Electrician license (or equivalent with ability to convert)
5+ years of electrical experience (required for licensure)
3+ years of industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
Certifications in electrical safety, arc flash, or high-voltage systems preferred
Experience with control systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation
Familiarity with CMMS or asset management systems preferred
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and control logic
Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Proficient in math and technical documentation
The hourly range for this role is $36.00 to $50.00 per hour. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
