    Summary

    Quality and safety oriented manual machine operator. Work in an efficient manner to ensure smooth flow through shop. Willing to work overtime as needed. Keep a clean and organized shop. Willingness to learn new skills. The Machine Operator demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values of integrity, passion, possibility and the ability to work at the speed of retail .

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment

  • Follows all safety and workplace policies

  • Set up and operate manual mill

  • Set up and operate manual lathe

  • Operate various pedestal grinders, buffers, wire wheels

  • Perform tasks while ensuring safety requirements are met

  • Responsible for daily production and ensures that work is completed on-time and within quality standards

  • Responsible for documenting accuracy and ensuring all inspection criteria are met

  • Perform equipment maintenance as recommended

  • May be asked to work in other departments as required by the business

  • Follows all safety and workplace policies

    Education/Certification

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalent experience

    Experience

  • 1-3 years experience operating manual machining equipment

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday

  • Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
