Chemistry Lab Technician
Job Description
The Lab Technician is a vital member of the team responsible for sample logging, testing, condition monitoring, and maintaining laboratory standards alongside the R&D team. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the QC team, conduct production floor checks, and support the blending and packaging of high-performance petroleum products. Utilizing instrumental analysis, the Lab Technician ensures reliability and adherence to specifications through day-to-day monitoring, testing, and start-up authorization.
Responsibilities
Monitor conditions, assist in running lab tests, and support the quality department.
Perform pipetting, titrations, fuel dilution, labeling, bar coding, and uphold lab quality standards.
Conduct lab tests throughout the product life cycle, including FTIR, Viscosity, Density, Pour-point, Cold Crank, XRF, and ICP.
Calibrate, validate, and troubleshoot instruments.
Receive samples, conduct in-process testing, generate results, and maintain lab upkeep.
Prepare results using the LIMS system and produce necessary test reports.
Maintain premium lab quality standards, continue results records, and manage all reports and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Completion of Organic Chemistry coursework with associated laboratory work.
0–6+ months of hands-on laboratory experience in academic or industry settings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
