The Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Galley Equipment) is responsible for maintenance and repair of over 60,000 galley items. The mechanic will repair and maintain galley equipment in accordance with commercial maintenance manuals and certified policies and procedures.
The mechanic will be safety focused and execute these critical duties and skills:
Repair/assemble galley carts, trash carts, and carriers.
Maintain shop and facility cleanliness, utilizing appropriate resources and equipment.
Ensure system security of the electronic recordkeeping system for maintenance actions.
Ensure compliance with FAA and company policies and procedures, as well as adherence to Component Maintenance Manuals guidance.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Leads and Department Managers.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be proficient in English.
Knowledge of basic maintenance practices surrounding safety and tool control
Ability to conduct inspections and perform repairs which frequently require motions such as bending, kneeling or crouching.
Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Starting pay: $26.74 per hour
