Hennepin County Engineering Technician/Assistant (Transportation Construction) in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Need to have: For hire as an Assistant Engineering Technician (Level I) o One of the following: ? Completion of an approved highway/civil engineering technology or land surveying training program. ? One or more years of experience in technical non-professional highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or related engineering work. ? One year of experience analyzing numerical data using computer software applications, or developing and maintaining computerized information system applications. ? Thirty (30) college semester credits in mathematics, geography, computer science, or engineering related technical courses. A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit. Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds; climb up and down slopes; work outdoors, and around traffic in all weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation. For hire as an Engineering Technician (Level II) o One of the following: ? Three years or more of experience in technical non-professional highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or related engineering work. ? Three years or more of college or technical school credits in a related engineering or computer science field. ? Current certification as a Certified Survey Technician (CST), Level 2. A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit. Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds; climb up and down slopes; work outdoors, and around traffic in all weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation.
