Actalent Electronics Test Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and apply applicable safety and performance standards.
Participate in sustaining engineering and new product development teams to identify, capture, and document global hazardous location and performance requirements.
Develop test and certification strategies to meet regulatory and industry requirements.
Create test plans; oversee testing activities; and review, document, and interpret test results in accordance with company and industry standards.
Prepare technical documentation and justifications demonstrating compliance with relevant standards.
Interface directly with third-party certification agencies and manage associated certification projects.
Write and execute test protocols in accordance with approval standards and procedures, record test results, and produce formal test reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in formal verification and/or validation product testing.
Minimum 1 year of experience in standards-based testing.
Strong understanding of design requirements and ability to apply that knowledge through testing and technical analysis.
Experience with Jira and writing test scripts (Python, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present data and articulate test results to regulatory agencies and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with sustaining engineering and new product development projects, including strong familiarity with product development processes—particularly verification and validation.
Previous experience with design and certification of products used in hazardous locations, including performance certifications.
Experience working with hazardous location and/or performance standards (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
